The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows:

Eastern region: Cool in the morning and windy; lows 19-22 degrees, highs 32-34 degree Celsius; wave height 1-2 metres.

Southern region (east coast): Cloudy with thunder showers in 40 per cent of the area and partly heavy rains; lows of 22-24 degrees, high 32-33 degrees Celsius; wave height 2-3 metres, increasing to 3 metres during storms.

Correct forecast, but when are we going to get some rain. One minor shower in the last 4 weeks.

No rain in Ban Phe for many, many weeks now. Very hot in the daytime. Not much wind to help. Live just off the beach and that doesn't even help.

The northern rain season is now over.

Probably have not been here long enough but dry season starting in early October was unexpected.

I live on Samui, but am confused by the terms "Southern region (east coast)" and " Southern region (west coast)".

Samui is obviousy in the west of The Gulf but on the east side of the southern peninsula.

Please can someone clarify this for me?

Sorry if I am just being "Thick".
