What is the best way to find Black Friday deals in Thailand?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm looking for some tips as this will be my first Black Friday in Thailand. Any pointers on the best website or even physical store to get Black Friday deals would be greatly appreciated!

I'm aware of Lazada and Shopee, just want to know which one of the two is better for Black Friday, if either are even good, what else is out there ????

I'm looking to buy a whole bunch of stuff like:

- A screen cover for my iPhone

- A new lightning charger cable

- A new pair of earphones

- Cheaper shaving blades (lord knows they're too overpriced!)

- Potentially some clothing like shorts, socks etc

I get the feeling Black Friday isn't that much of a thing here.. hoping I'm wrong!

Lazada has some good deals, just got a Xiaomi phone that is 180 quid in the UK for 4700 baht with 128 gb memory.

Use your Thai internet connection to shop Amazon U.S.

The Thai retailers seem more focused on the Asian calendar sales -- 9/9, 10/10, 11/11 etc etc.

So what is this black friday? Friday the 13th of the month?

OK so the day after Thanksgiving, I looked it up, never mind, same as boxing day in most countries.

Errrrr

I just had a look, there seems to be no sales on the main Thai sites. I got much better deals on 11/11, and maybe 12/12. Shopping via Amazon you get hit with postage and import charges.

Although it's probably of more interest to the ladies, I noticed when the wife and I were out and around today at the Sephora makeup/cosmetics shops such as at Central Embassy in BKK are having a 15% Black Friday sale thru the weekend -- which only makes their Thailand outlets about 33% more expensive than their U.S. counterparts, instead of the normal 50% overpricing.

When you see 50-90% off the ticket price that means you can buy a cheap ticket literally the item will remain at +120% during any sale or greyish Friday????

Thank you all for chipping in, I ended up buying some things from Lazada. Although I'm not really sure if they were cheap because of Black Friday or if it was just normally cheap! Either way I didn't spend much!
