Javid - chances of ending Brexit transition without EU trade deal are remote

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain is unlikely to cut off ties to the European Union at the end of 2020 without having a free trade deal in place, finance minister Sajid Javid said on Thursday.

 

The governing Conservatives have pledged to pass their Withdrawal Agreement through parliament in time to leave the European Union at the end of January if they win a majority in a December 12 election, but then need to agree a free trade deal with the European Union by the end of 2020.

 

“I am confident that we will get a deal done... I think (leaving without a deal) is extremely remote,” Javid told BBC radio.

Of course there is going to be trade!Just as much as at the moment,both sides will finally realize they need each other.I think both the EU and Britain are being arrogant,not the people but the politicians.

There has never been any question of the UK cutting ties with the EU trading partners. The whole Deal/No Deal hysteria was, and still is, Project Fear whipped up by the rabid Remainers; vested big business interests; euro-federasts and leftist Europhiles. 

 

You can take the EU horse to water but if it does not want to make a deal it won’t. That’s our time to Leave without a bad deal, then begin to redress the trade imbalance

One day you will wake up to reality, an EU deal and a US deal are not mutually compatible.

The EU have chosen to live without a US deal, which one is the UK going to live without?

Johnson didn't like the result of the last election so he holds an electerendum. Not seen as a problem when an autocratic PM refuses to honour the result of the last election to get what he wants, and there are those that would call it democracy.

Anti-democratic Remainers have blocked and twisted and thwarted the democratic process to bring our Brexit. Boris has effectively put it back to the vote again through a GE. Is this your second referendum or a RINO? Or is it another one that you collectively won't honour because you won't like the result again. Yes, I'd call it democracy, wouldn't you?

Theresa May refused to honour the result of the 2015 GE and Bojo has refused to honour the result of the 2017 GE.

And if the UK imposes minimal tariffs (which they are likely to do) that surplus will remain. Deal or no deal.
