I have actually been surprised by so many retirees posting that they don't have the 800k for the visa.

It got me thinking what the hell have they been doing all these decades?

Living on our pensions, month to month.

Just because we get 800k (or more) a year, doesn't mean we have 800k to sit in a bank doing nothing every year.

How many working people do you know that have a year's wages sitting in a bank account every year?

  • I planned to retire at about age 55 which may sound early but my work field is a young man's game and also it was SUPER STRESSFUL and I hated it with a passion. Advice to younger people -- pick a work

  • Advice to young people .... pick a field of work that makes you a lot of money. I learned to hate every form of employment I ever had, so might as well just have gone for the big money.

Every retiree I know has more than a year’s wages in the bank. That’s on top of the income they receive from pensions, dividends, interest, rental income etc.
But then, they don’t spend it on bedding women like you do.

I've got 60kGBP in my UK bank, not a huge amount, but then I haven't worked since 2001.

It'd take me a lot of time to spend it on bedding women, my gf only charges 10kbht/month.

This is a poll about retired people in general, not a poll about me.

If you knew about me , I'm not in this situation ..

I have less than a month's wages in the bank ;

and it's like that since I arrived definitively in Thailand , 13 years ago ...
