valium, though you'll be advised that it is illegal to buy without prescription, just as prostitution is illegal here too

Prescription or other wise you'll struggle to get valium in Pattaya unless at Hospital Phramacy

I was once given Anarex as a muscle relaxant.

It's paracetamol combined with orphenadrine citrate. Works well.

Do not take it and operate any machinery or drive.

Im fairly sure a decent pharmacy in Thailand will have it.

norgesic     It is Acetominafen and Orphenadrine,   or you could do  Mydocalm  =Tolperisone.

Watch the Acetominafen with booze,   it really jacks up your liver and can kill you.

You can bring in up to a 30 day supply for personal use with you when you come.

Note that many drugs that are prescription in the West are sold over the counter in Thailand.

Ibuprofen is available everywhere in many local brands, no prescription needed.

Many "muscle relaxants" also available over the counter in local generic form, exception being diazepam (valium) and other benzo's, those are strictly controlled.

Would help if you gave the actual name of the muscle relaxant

Im not sure what they would prescribe me because I was just given some at the hospital and it really seemed to help so I figured I might want to bring some. I just dont want to get in trouble, I have no problem with them confiscating if there is a problem. But it sounds like I can get some over the counter.

Whether you can get some over the counter depends on what the drug is.

Benzos you cannot get over the counter.

Other types you can, but not every drug of this type found in the west is available  here.  Frankly I have never known the muscle relaxants available here OTC to be very effective.
