Do you want to hear from Mulvaney and Bolton? If not, I can only assume you don't really want a fair trial. That's not defensible. Pelosi has more leverage here than the 45 fans realize. That poll saying 75 of Americans still DO want to hear from the closer insiders like Mulvaney and Bolton mean if/when the senate does a sham trial without such witnesses, they will have handed the democrats a potent campaign message, that their Banana Republic sham show trial does not exonerate 45.

It's an accomplishment, really.  There have been presidents who have not distinguished themselves that in time are merely names memorized in history class by schoolkids.  Some are noted individually, like Washington and Lincoln.  Then there are the lists, like those who died in office, and those who were impeached.  At the beginning of his 2nd term the Clinton WH was put to work on establishing Bill's legacy: well, that chore solved itself!  Congrats, Donnie, your legacy has been established. 

But there is an ugliness to this, and there is no amount of lipstick gonna change that, whether he gets removed from office or not, and there is no way to play that down.  It might hurt Don Jr when he runs for president in 2024.

But if he is still in the WH on January 21 it's possible he'll be the first commander in chief to be removed by his own military.

Are you trying to claim that being hopping mad and seething with hatred because your favored candidate took a whooping in the election is NOT grounds for impeachment?

 

Sadly on both sides of the Atlantic we have a situation where the left just can not and never will accept the fact that they lost in the elections. In the UK we essentially had a 2nd brexit referendum and aced it in a landslide. No doubt the same will happen in the US in november. Calling the voters stupid ignorant hicks that didn't know what they voted for, and trying by every foul means to overthrow their elected government doesn't fare well in the following election. Funny that!

Actually the tactic to delay this and to try to pressure some republican senators to vote to change the rules of the trial is showing a lot of promise.

 

Remember to remove takes 2/3 but to change trial rules only needs a simple majority. What exactly are 45 fans afraid of to hear from witnesses like Mulvaney and Bolton? I think we all know. If they really thought the dear leader was clean they would be welcoming them to testify.
