This ruling instigated by the democrats will be their demise and destruction. This will only strengthen the republicans position and support.

I wouldn’t bet on that, they have the press, Google, Facebook, Hollywood, teachers, professors and most civil servants.

Most of them buy into this stuff.

Lets wait for the senate.

If the senators, who are supposed to be impartial jury, work together with the White House then this is a very clear sign that the USA is not a 1st world country anymore.

Maybe its time for the rest of the world to put sanctions on the USA so that they have time to think about their behavior which resembles a third class banana republic.

I am sorry for all the decent Americans which must have a hard time trying to explaining to the rest of the world why they have a president and lots of politicians which just don't care about the laws and their own constitution. Truly dark times over there.

Does the constitution say they have to be impartial? Is there a higher court to appeal to if they are not?

Senators will vote whichever way they think will get them re elected. They are, after all, politicians, and think politically.

Sorry but that deserves a :w00t:

Probably the fact that they're saying they won't be? In the words of Lindsey Graham:

Mitch McConnell has said it even more clearly, stating as follows:

They are basically members of Trump's defense team. Except they are doing all of their defense work "pro-bono".
