But why is there impeachment hearings being help. Trump colluded with Russia!!! Nadler and Schiff told us so AND they had the proof...Hmm but Schiff also said he didn't speak to the whistle blower, until Trump released the call transcript and blew that out of the water.

Trump did 'win' against a very unpopular Democratic candidate in 2016, but lost the popular vote by a landslide.

The results of the 2018 elections showed that many of those that were tricked by this con-man realized their mistake. 

You can fool some of the people, some of the time.  But you cannot fool all the people, all of the time.

This is the crux of the matter. Trying to remove Trump through the courts will only embolden his supporters and he will play on that at the next election and get a huge win. Same thing happened with Brexit. Parliament tried blocking the democratic result, Brexiteers were called stupid, the supreme court started interfering in politics and what happened? Johnson won a massive majority.

Actually, it's the contrary.

Indeed, she didn't send the articles yet to the Senate and the Evil Turtle over-confidently already announced that the GOP will close ranks (so far for impartiality) and that Trump will be swiftly acquited.

However - as could be expected - some new and explosive evidence has turned up in the mean time.  And that might trigger Nancy Pelosi to re-open the Congress hearings when Mitch does not agree on a trial with witnesses in the Senate.  As expected he is squirming now, and he might give in to the demand to have witnesses testify in the Senate trial after all for reason of damage control, because the longer he waits the more evidence will turn up proving Trumps guilt.

Obviously that doesn't matter to Trumps base, who would even support him when he flatly admitted it, but it's the evangelical and conservative GOP-voters that initially supported him that could decide he has gone one bridge too far (many have done so already).   

I am hoping for a show-case Senate trial with Trump, Bolton, Biden and - why not - even the Whistleblower testifying, that would be some Fireworks!

Yes, but I think they’ve flipped their last card. They can fold or go all in. 
 

There are plenty of new things that could come out to hurt Trump, but the risk for them is great. If the tape is played and all the witnesses come forward and Trump is cleared, they look like partisan fools, except to their base who will continue to call for impeachment. If the tape is played and all the witnesses come forward and prove Trump was trying to get help investigating Biden, it’s not that big a deal, many people already know, and don’t think it’s a big deal.

 

If everything goes perfectly and they get him out of office before the election, you’ve got Pense running as an incumbent and Trump campaigning for him.
