Bar girl meets prince who takes her back to his home country - how often does it happen?

Since maybe a year or two a relative of my gf works in Pattaya. Let's call her Noi for this post.

She is about 23, she looks ok but nothing special, she has little education, she has already 3 kids, and she wants to make money.

A few months ago she met this German guy who was in Thailand on holiday and he invited her to visit him in Germany.

Noi never asked me directly but I told my gf that she should be carful. Bad things might happen. But maybe she is lucky, who knows.

The guy, let's call him Hans, arranged all the documents for her visa, paid her flight, and now she is in Germany since about a week.

According to her Hans lives in this huge house with 18 bedrooms, maid(s), cook(s), etc. And everybody is happy.

And apparently Hans wants to marry her.

 

Does that really happen?

 

How likely is it that this Hans is real and he really wants to live with her? And how likely is it that Hans is a professional who will treat her like a queen for a few weeks and then let her work for him...

 

Maybe I saw too many movies with too many bad guys who tell the girls some story and then they become their "slaves".

But maybe stories like Hans meets Noi and they live happily ever after really happens.

What is your experience?

Did you hear about any story which starts like this and ends bad?

 

P.S.: This is really happening and I am concerned things might go wrong...

BS! She writes this back home to impress everybody. But nothing of it is true. I guess he lives in a 1 br condo.

Have you seen pictures of the house?  Were all the pics taken from the outside?

In my  experience this is usually an over exaggeration by the girl to impress people back home and the reality is far from the story given. (saving face)

However, I do know of instances where the girl does find a "diamond" and does marry a very wealthy guy too, but the latter is rare, the former is usually the case. 

 

I also know of an instance where it went really badly and ended in being forced into working in a massage parlor etc etc passport with-held., but the story back home was of the handsome prince again.

I'd suggest the really wealthy males could pick and choose what they want in their own ethnicity. Bernie Ecclestone springs to mind, although I admit Rupert Murdoch has succumbed to the Asian persuasion for a while.

IMO it would be very rare in terms of wealthy farangs. Maybe more common if it's a relationship where the farang is working, and the Thai GF can get work outside Thailand. I've seen that happen a few times.

The biggest obstacle would be the Thai socialisation issue. Most Thais can't stand being alone, or cut off from family. Unless there is a support network of Thais in farangland, many will be homesick.

Why does it have to be a bar girl? 

Both in the US and in Thailand I know many long time married couples in contend happy (for the most part , as all marriages go) and stable relationships. Though I don't know how they met, I know that the lives of both were enhanced by being together. 

  In the US we socialise with three other Farang/Thai couple. In every one of those relationship the wife works, and contributes as much if not more than the husband.

 Though not perfect, All very nice people. I guess they would have to be, otherwise we would not socialise with them.

I know both mine, and my wife's lives are significantly better for having met each other.

LTRs, one Brit that had my house and pension and still wasn't happy, two Thai ladies that found mugs that were prepared to spend more on them than me, one I married that still visits and bangs me, and the current one I'm fairly happily living with.

That's quite a reasonable list IMHO, with only one negative reference, despite her getting around 600,000 pounds off me.

Personal relationships are just that. Relationships .And they are what one makes of them 

Bad is only the opposite of good with a whole spectrum in between.There can't be bad relationships without good ones. 

 Even the ones that end in divorce are not bad relationships, simply not enduring relationships. 

Me and my ex-wife had a great marriage that produced a beautiful daughter, as we grew our personalities developed in different directions,  to have stayed married would have being a bad relationship, Our divorce developed a different relationship that is also good for its desired purpose.

very much possible in some of these countries where you can't get anyone (literally), whether it be from poor location or lack of money etc.

i'm finaicially independent and have a place in the usa semi-rural. let me tell you i can go for years there without getting laid or having a significant relationship with anyone other then the neighbors dog. there just is not anybody date worthy around. it's that simple.

if the visa is sorted it absolutely can work out if the couple can adapt to the new culture and lifestyle and money is not an issue.

In general, we don't have houses like this in germany. Zero chance, if he doesn't own an old castle and is from a royal family. 
Germans are just not into big houses. not sure you exaggerated or not on purpose but if she told u that it's a clear lie.

 

 

Except brothels of course, they have that amount of bedrooms...

Ok ill be that guy, but sounds like human trafficking too me. Our brothels in germany are filled with thai girls, some forced, some not.
