Do you or anyone else really know exactly what happened? IMO, If the Brit is reported to the police, caught and dealt with, I think it is fair to say that it was out of order what he done, If we do not hear anything else, then he walloped the guy for trying to pickpocket him, and rightly so.

Exactly what I thought. The Brit is still wearing headphones that must have been connected to the phone. Who would try to take a phone from someone who would immediately know that it was taken, especially on an enclosed BTS car with no place to run or hide?

How do you know he went for the phone. Maybe he went for the wallet? Maybe he touched his girlfriend's derriere? Could have been anything, nobody knows so best not to judge.

Right now there's a video clip of a foreigner (farang) doing harm to a Thai person on Red Skull-addict's Facebook page that happened on the blue line of the sky train including an explanation that it is an incident between a Thai guy and a young foreign man (khon taang chat) caused by the foreign guy who was unhappy after the young Thai man collided with his iPhone 11. The Thai guy who was (apparently) unable to speak English, was only able to say "sorry," which made the foreign guy feel the apology wasn't really sincere.

It is reported that the foreign guy tried to injure the Thai guy by throwing a punch along with angrily yelling at him before another Thai man wearing a yellow shirt intervened and tried to get them to calm down. The foreign guy yelled "What were you doing" to which the first Thai guy said in a voice filled with fear, "I didn't do anything to him." Shortly after that the train arrived at the Hua Lamphong station and the doors of the sky train opened. The Thai guy who had been attacked fled out of the train car while yelling for assistance from (train station) officers.

That is a pretty darn strange set of assumptions to justify the unjustifiable... but whatever floats a man’s boat... so he’s a pickpocket getting what he deserves... okay, picking someone’s pocket is unjustified too... are you happy now?
