Trump Plans new Tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China
TH's auto industry is a fine example of tariffs working. Auto makers from JP's 'Made in TH' production thrived, selling locally, and exporting, building large factories & local workforce. Now that 'free trade' EVs from CH have flooded the market, and the tax break the manufactures are getting IF they set up manufacturing in TH, is killing the JP badged auto makers here, slowing production, to stopping production, to closing factories. ICEV sales slumping, EV sale increasing on a down market ... nuff said China knows it's short lived, so the big boys will produce in TH, as tariffs will be reinstated. Good for the local workforce, and good for the consumers, as you see the prices of cars have dropped, or at least, not increased. Tariffs work for protectionism of local products & workforce. Although, as USA proves, a country that can't or won't complete, as consumers are too stupid to realize the substandard crap being pushed on them at silly prices for locally produced vehicles, suffer due to their ignorance and MSM propaganda. The bad side of tariffs, for an ignorant populous of a country full of itself, and still selling 'best in the world' to the idiots that believe the propaganda. Som nam na -
