Thank you for your suggestion.

I consulted with him previously.

He wanted me to get a CT scan.

I told him I would rather not due to the high radiation.

He replied that there is not much radiation, at which point I lost all confidence in him.

We then discussed an MRI instead.

I asked if it would require an enhanced MRI.

"Not so much" was his gibberish response.

So now that I need someone again, am seeking another option.

So ... you have a medical condition which you would like investigated.

But do not want to use the best possible imaging technology due to radiation danger to assess said condition.

Wonder which will prove more dangerous - what you have or the means of identifying it ?

Chernobyl occurred 1986. People evacuated from the area. Some moved back, and have been living there ever since. Growing gardens, raising animals, breathing the air, drinking the water.

Balance that against a CT scan

I see that the Recommended Doctors pinned post includes 2 GI doctors at Rajavej.

But the list is 3 years old and, although helpful, personal recommendations would mean a lot more to me.

The Recommended Doctors list is a result of personal recommendations. Yoda did not make it up.

The list is still current as far as GI doctors are concerned, we updated the list last year but the date wasn't changed. And Dante is 100% correct, the list was compiled solely on the basis of personal recommendations from long term expats.
