  • No. Manchester City was owned by Thaksin Shinawattra until the FA rules he was an inappropriate person to own it. He had to sell, which he did to a member of the Abu Dhabi government for a large profi

If you want to read an excellent review of the legal battle - that's known in the public domain (I.e. from published legal documents) - then get a cup of tea and take your time to read the following 2 articles written by a lawyer (who is a blue I would add). If anybody finds anything similar please post it.

The lawyer in his two articles was spot on and predicted how CAS might (did) rule in the arbitration - it's all in there, including City's defence, have another read of the articles.

As he tweeted this week: "City did not win on a “technicality” and no we do not need to wait for the award. Regardless of the limitation, NONE of the breaches were PROVED in respect of sponsor revenue. It really is that simple."

He has said that when CAS's full (but redacted) Award comes out very soon, he will write a Part 3 Article.

In the mean time you can listen to his very clear and intelligent comments here (he doesn't come across to me as a biased fan, but a lawyer assessing the legalities from both parties viewpoint) - it's 1 hour long but it's very good ????

If City are banned for two years, the other English clubs should show solidarity and refuse to play until City are back in.

This is a big, nasty joke.

If they get away with this, no English club will be safe from them.
