Featured Replies

I have scrolled back 10 pages but this subject don't appear to be covered, I want to take my wife, who lives with me in UK on a spouse visa, to Florida any ideas where I have to go to get a visa or any criteria that needs meeting..

Sorry if it has been posted before and thank you in advance of any replies

I know I can get an ESTA for me but have I got to apply to the embassy again for her or whatever you have to do?

You will need to apply for a B2 tourist visa for her.

Now it's a fairly straightforward process to complete the form D-160.

The good news is this.

I'm fairly sure you have read all the horror stories of guys trying to get tourist visas for their wives, girlfriends while in Thailand. But it tends to much more of a 'normal' application when a Thai woman applies for a visa when she is a permanent resident in a Western country, since there isn't the default assumption that a Thai woman, who is resident in Thailand won't return. Hence all the jumping through hoops

We did it the other way. My wife is a US green card holder and we applied for a UK tourist visa, not a hiccup

She'll need to make an application to the US Embassy in London where she'll also need to visit for an interview.

As she's in the UK on the basis of her marriage to you it shouldn't be a problem, though she shouldn't take anything for granted, so read the details provided in the link thoroughly.

The official will make a decision based on the details provided in her application and the answers to any questions she might be asked during her interview.

How long has she been in the UK, at what stage of the UK process is she at, just arrived, FLR or ILR?
