Maybe the front bumper is a home-brew repair after a fender-bender?  What looks authentic is the curvature of the door edges and the setback from the front wheel, the fender and where the pieces line up.

I think you’re probably right on that.

yeah the car of the people in Los Angeles. everyone has one.

Yes.

When I went to pickup a girl for a date several years ago in my newer Camry, she gave some bogus excuse and went back inside her apartment.

Later turns out she was not impressed with my car (actually said embarassed) and was use to going on dates in BMW's, MBZ, or Porsches.

Was kind of a breaking point good thing though decided to move here soon after.

Why don't they drive american cars there?

To much extra to pay in import taxes, duties etc and it would be a very limited dealership. The price of servicing and genuine spares would be enormous.

Sorry. I thought that you were talking about Thailand.

Main point for me is that very few here understand the pressure that fuel systems on lots of these cars work on.

80 to 120 psi is quite common nowadays.

One little fuel leak at 120psi can spray an awful lot of fuel onto a hot engine/exhaust etc.

I would imagine many 'super cars' here are knocked together from a big box of bits and joints are quite possibly over tightend or not tight enough.

Yes it’s a Lotus. A guy I know has a yellow one just like that. I asked him if it was his.

He told me the car belong to a friend of his at the Lotus car club.. Apparently they got out of the car before the fire really caught hold...

Maybe Porsche Boxter. Poor man's Porsche

Porsches have a nasty history of catching fire.
