Can one assume that a health insurer, which is advertising on this web site is recognized by the immigration?

What is the procedure for getting accredited to offer insurance in Thailand?

What is the procedure for an expat for visa renewal? What document must be shown?

I had to look on the Insurance in Thailand forum to find info.

Not sure they qualify for the mandatory insurance needed to apply for an extension of a OA visa entry.

My hope is someday in the future, that list is expanded. There are many good International (and non-Thai government) health insurances available, which are not yet on that list. Unfortunately I have not read anything yet that suggests an expansion in the future is likely ...

I wonder to myself, why the list is relatively short - but perhaps that is because this Thailand immigration Type-OA Health Insurance requirement is all relatively new.

When applying for a 1-year extension of stay based on your original OA Visa for reason of RETIREMENT, it is since 31 Oct last year, mandatory to provide evidence of thai IO-approved health-insurance.

Researching the topic will show you very quickly that it might not be a good idea to succumb to that @#$%^ thai IO-approved health-insurance scam.

Luckily, it is surprisingly simple to switch to another extension-type (e.g. marriage) or convert to a Non Imm O – retirement Visa which when extended has the exact same requirements and conditions as an OA Visa extension. And in both cases, there is NO requirement for health-insurance…

When I first came here, it was all pretty predictable. Nights out, bars, always somewhere busy. That was the routine. These days it’s different. Quieter, less going out. I still drop in now and then, but it’s not the center of things anymore. The scene itself feels different too.Fewer girls around, or just moved online? Hi Sheryl. My partners sister is not yet starting the menopause, Being 49. She was on an injectable contraceptive previously while she worked in Taiwan together with him but came back in 2022 and stopped. I suppose this was the time the fibroids flared up. So do you think she would end up being advised to restart as a hormone therapy? I think now it’s going to be treated as fibroids I’ll probably just let them get on with it and help them with going down the government hospital route as you’ve suggested.
