I know what the answer will be (probably) but what can be done about these gangs of <deleted> idiot french on their NMax scooters. It is not beyond dangerous. The local gov't send out a fluff piece about catching an overstayer in their new BMW (no less) roaming patrol vehicle. Yet nothing is EVER done about these rats.

Is there any "tourist police" members here?

Razorwire at head level across the roads.

I REALLY wish people could move on from the BMWs, not that the Immigration Police do traffic anyway. It is not the remit of the Tourist Police either.

Over to you again.

The problem is that the only "traffic" enforcement done by Phuket police is done at checkpoints. That is, checking for licenses, registrations and helmets only. They do not do real traffic patrols, nor do they pursue and issue fines to offenders committing moving violations.  Unfortunately, in most cases you can drive any way you like (recklessly, speeding, running red lights, driving on the wrong side of the road), but you had better have a license and helmet when encountering a checkpoint.

Brilliant living here isn't it. I think it is called freedom?

Form the OP's post it is difficult to know if he doesn't like the French or NMax.

I am sure the OP meant XMax’s or TMax’s – Nmax is just a little commuter scooter.

I think the problem with these guys is a build-up of excess testosterone as I don’t think that’s it’s in their psyche to take advantage of the local female entertainers (you never see them on Bangla) and so they need an alternative release.

Yes, they are mildly annoying because of their arrogant attitude, but ultimately quite harmless to everyone apart from themselves. Can’t you just ignore them? – if they were that bad they would all be in the morgue.

I’ve noticed that most don’t even know how to sit on a bike, let alone ride one quickly and safely – feet forward and arms locked out straight is a giveaway of a clueless rider. The only thing they know how to do is tweak the throttle in a straight line, and unfortunately many of those bikes have unsilenced exhausts which causes the annoyance.

Quite frankly, little Thai guys on souped-up Honda Waves on the residential backroads of Kamala make at least as much noise, and there are more of them!

Can't disagree but noise pollution from bikes and scooters is getting worse and worse and nobody does a thing about it.

Unless that checkpoint is at Kok Kaew then its a literal free for all, unless you happen to be of Caucasian birth that is

If I could ignore them, I would not have posted. They are far from harmless, I wont go into it but there have been previous "issues"

Yes I did indeed mean Xmax/Tmax

The morgue is where Karim Elmir, from Paris, France, ended up.

Totally agree with you EG.

The thing is that these clowns (both foreigners and Thais) on motorbikes drive too fast and make too much noise (both illegal) in predominantly built up and residential areas. Truly idiots

Don't blame him on disliking  either of them, they're  both arrogant and loud.
