Logged in, out of stock. Not a bad profit margin, though. 219 baht when the raw materials are probably on 20 - 30 baht.

Would not have minded watching or even helping them do it to the lady in front of us this afternoon???? mind you doubt if the wife would have let me.lol

A man after my own heart. If you want to see the best butts on the planet, head for Yangon in Myanmar sans wife. The combination of Burmese and Indian genes left me weak at the knees.

Went to 3 different Makro's in the Pathumthani area today looking for an item. 1 scanned me. 2 didn't.  No problem getting through at the one that was scanning. At best it was only a minor annoyance. I was more shocked by it than anything. I paused briefly so they could hit me with their ray gun, and then kept right on walking. No idea what they would have done if my temperature had been elevated. It was a small girl who was doing the scanning. Would she have run after me and tried to tackle me to the ground?

No such drama today obviously, but I can imagine what could have happened under different circumstances.

Went to the bathrooms, splashed my face with cold water and got the green light.

Good advice, will head to the bath room when I get to the airport to splash my face.

Saw a huge display of hand sanitizers at Makro, too.

That does no good when the cart handles are covered with fecal matter from all the folks that don't wash their hands after taking a huge dump!

Keep working on it and you may win the 12 year old's contest for post of the month.

Try the cheapest Lao Khao, should work for cleaning hands.

Taking your temp. is a total wast of time!!  You could have 3-4 other symptoms of corona and no fever yet showing so good luck with that!!  Along with the masks, taking your temp. is just another false sense of security in this craziness!!!

Just do a search for alcohol hand wash on Lazada and there is plenty of it there ranging from tubes of gel for 59 baht upwards.

Yes I was scanned as well on arrival at our Makro yesterday

Got through no problem

My only thought was  besides fefusing  entry what if I was over what would they do report me to whom , have the medical authorities  check me out

If no action  what is the point of the whole thing

If they want accurate body temperatures then they need to be doing it properly and use rectal thermometers...surely?

The plan is to hire ladyboys and dress them in nurse uniforms so they can do rectal exams on foreigners.  You know, to put us all at ease.

The university I occasionally work at was testing temperatures and the door. The fellow said, "35 Celsius you are ok." Pretty sure that is not ok, approaching hypothermia in fact, but at least I am safe from the virus. Either that or temperature device was a cheap one.

Happend to me yesterday. The reading said 36 which is not correct also but was jot a problem.

Everyone in front of me had 39 , not 37.

I don't think the termos used are any good.

I've been to the dentist yesterday. The secretary scanned my forehead...34°C.. I told her, that with 34°C I should be dead. She told me, that this is not Fahrenheit. OMG I said, that 34°C should be OK, If the dentist would like to clean a dead man's teeth.

Went to the dentist yesterday and had to stick a thermometer under my armpit.

if they really wanted your money i.e. continue with appointment...

 - spray mouth with bad-tooth searching zero-freeze spray

... and then take temp

They have scanned and denied people, told them to sit a few minutes, re scanned them and then let them enter. It's a miracle that they were cured so quickly

Maybe that's the new cure against corona , if you have the symptoms just sit down for a few minutes . If your sick sit down for a few hours . If your not having symptoms or aren't sick , sit down with a corona .

I was scanned last week at Makro which shows 36 C so no problem even after a walk in the sun.

They should do a more accurate test like put the thermo under the armpit or mouth.

Splashing water on head is cheating the system.

Long queue to get into Makro today.

Did you consider having a coughing fit in the line, people might have moved out of the way, including the security guys as you continued your cough all the way in, would have been fun to at least see their reactions.
