A 41 year old Chonburi woman gave herself up to police after sitting on and strangling her husband in bed.

Treerat, 41, is being held on a charge of assault causing death. She may be charged with murder when she explains what happens.

Locals and relatives in the area of a rented room in Bang Pla Soi sub-district heard Treerat and husband Phiphop, 48, arguing violently but seeing that this was a frequent occurrence whenever he was drunk they did nothing.

Shortly thereafter a passerby saw their door ajar and Phiphob lying fully clothed in bed. He was dead.

Daily News reported that he was a motorcycle taxi rider and sometime fisherman. He was usually for hire at Rank 4 near the court.

Treerat gave herself up to the local police and would only say that she had strangled him.

Phiphop's elder brother Yuth, 50, said the couple had lived together for three years. They loved each other but things always turned nasty when his younger brother had had a drink. He liked to say very bad things to his wife.

Daily News reported that the wife had found messages on her husband's phone indicating he had been chatting secretly with another woman.

Yuth said philosophically that he wouldn't be pressing for any particular charges. He was prepared to let the law take its course and called the resolution of the matter the couple's fate.

likely she suffered long term physical and verbal abuse and the justice syatem was either unknown to her or had failed her.

what she did was considerably less cruel than what the female praying mantis does to the male after insemination, eats him.

there are cases of abused women whose murder convictions have been overturned. they were physically and psychologically abused and even raped.  you call her a lowlife murderer

lets say some guy raped and abused your daughter once you very might want to kill him and even do so under certain circumstances. you'd be a 3rd party. does the 2nd party not have equal rage if not more?

Killing someone in their sleep = lowlife murderer in my book.

Seems getting drunk makes it ok to kill someone in some eyes.
