Please recommend a great dentist in CM - toothache.

 In Da Nang, Vietnam currently.

 

Started tooth pain tonight, after just obtaining a 3 month single entry Visa and paying my hotel for another 7 days in advance.

 

I've just posted here and in another forum asking for a dentist recommendation for Da Nang.

 

But thinking ahead  - I may not be able to get a recommendation for Da Nang  and if I do get one - depending on the diagnosis - I may want a 2nd opinion and would prefer to re enter CM ahead of my original plan and see someone in CM who several people highly recommend, even if it means blowing a lot of money I just put out.

 

I have several large fillings and its possible a root canal or worse may be needed rather than a simple job.

And even if the dentist feels he can redo the filling, if he is not skilled he could crack an already weakened tooth (due to the large filling).

 

 

In the US I was taken care of for decades by a great dentist, and I'm highly sensitive to dealing with dentists due to horrendous childhood experiences.

 

Thus my willingness or even eagerness to fly out of here and head back early to CM to see someone with excellent recommendations from several posters.

Has anyone found a great dentist who also has at least good English skills, and who will not try to upsell me but tends to be conservative.

 

I've seen other dentist threads where some posters will recommend e.g. "XYZDental" - I'd like a specific dentist recommended please, rather than going to a group practice and taking whoever is available which would not make me feel secure.

Dr. Thanyalak Pansotthee (Nickname Dr. Lee) at CIDC in Chiang Mai. We like her and had to find her when she moved to different dental company.  However, if you need root canal or other specialist work, you will be referred to someone else.   Also, we saw a man at Grace Dental that we liked, but we cannot remember his name...
