Anutin’s Twitter account deleted just hours after astonishing rant against ‘dirty’ foreigners

A Twitter account in the name of Thai Health Minister and Deputy PM Anutin Charnvirakul, which was used to share derogatory remarks about foreigners in Thailand has been taken down.

Anutin_C was deleted around 3 pm on Friday.

The Twitter profile disappeared just hours after sharing disparaging comments attributed to the minister about "dirty and shabby farangs" bringing the Covid-19 virus to Thailand.

Thai and English language media said the comments came from Anutin though the account was not accompanied by a ‘blue tick’ - a verification icon that might be considered normal for a person of such high profile.

There has so far been no explanation for the disappearance of the account, nor any explanation or apology regarding the comments posted.

Other reports suggested the Twitter account, along with many other social media profiles attributed to the DPM are actually managed by members of Anutin’s communications team.

Eight posts made since Wednesday were less controversial itemising health department regulations and procedure in connection with the virus outbreak, notes Thaivisa. But all posts have now gone.

Last month the minister - head of the Bhumjaithai Party - had a rant against a foreigner in Bangkok for not accepting a face mask leading many to believe that the latest outburst was more of the same.

In reality, the latest post upped the ante in the war of words with comments widely perceived to be racist in nature and unbecoming of a government minister.

Thaivisa notes that the minister gave a half hearted apology after telling farangs to "go home" last month if they were not prepared to wear masks.

It remains to be seen what actually happens in the wake of these latest comments attributed to Anutin.

Let's hope that he gets deleted. Permanently.

  • He has over time made it very clear with his comments that he is a racist and hates white people from any country .

For a Government Minister (representing any Country ) to take to a Social Media Platform with such derogatory, and Racist comments is an absolute disgrace.

And this is not the first time he has let his Racist Views be known in Public.

Interesting that he blamed foreigners for being “dirty” for why the virus spread so much in Europe.

Anutin knows he is untouchable because the General needs the support of his party. In fact some people have mused that Anutin could be the next PM if Prayut ever gets tired of the job.....now that’s a scary thought !

The judicial system is killing Thanathorn, and it won't even open an investigation against certain members of the government, this shows how corrupt this Country is from the inside out.

Interview for position of Health Minister:

Are you wearing khaki underpants? 'Yes'. Good.

Have you ever been convicted of a crime? 'Yes'. Great.

Do you have obscene amounts of money? 'Yes'. Wonderful.

Do you know anything at all about health, or health systems? 'No'. Good.

Are your qualifications dubious? "They were expensive!" Lovely.

Can you make outrageous comments, in public? 'Sure!' Perfect.

Well, that seems to be fine Mr. Anutin - the contract is in the mail! See you Monday!

That's because most of them are of Chinese descent. (I knew an artist from China in the early 90s [his friends created the "Lady Liberty" statue in Tiananmen Square] and I remember him telling me that the Han Chinese are some of the most racist people in the world.)

it's possible to find people think the same <deleted> of this dumbass in every company, office, university and so on, it's a cultural problem, and nobody seems to care to much, the result is these animals become more and more popular, gets high positions and continue to spread <deleted> on westerners. It's paranoia.

Mr. Khunsang, for example, a public university ajarn, is is of the same paste.

Anyway, somebody have screenshots of the message of this dog?

That's because many of them are Sino-Thai, preference on the Sino side. They hold a grudge for the "jews of Asia" thing a century ago.

I don't like him either.

No surprise here...he is just ignorant enough to verbally express what many Thai people think...

I read his Twitter post prior to it being deleted this pm, but it had already had the juicy bits excised.

Conveniently forgetting that the virus started in China because of their liking for eating bats, cats and anything else that moves, slaughtering the poor things in unhygienic wet markets where they are likely to bite, preparing the "food" in a filthy environment.

But he's Chinese-Thai so this is a inconvenient truth.

Many Thais do not think or behave in the manner that this guy Anutin does.

It is only many of the Hi-So Thais that think in this way, and also the pretend Hi-So,s, who are probably worse

They believe they are the superior Race in Asia, a class above everybody, irrespective of their race or colour or Religion.

I dont know why they are this way, maybe its because their County has never been occupied by a Foreign Force or something.

Could somebody please enlighten me

Thanks. Great read. Must bookmark it. Very much doubt that this version of Thailand's history is taught in Thai schools.
