Some postings here have indicated that some embassies in thailand are now providing letters to extend non exempt visas in Thailand now that most borders are closed or seem to closing quickly.

I’ve read online that the Italian embassy is providing those letters. Is that confirmed? What about other embassies? Which ones are doing it now?

And for how many days does one get to extend their visa? Is it based on the letter from the embassy or at the discretion of the local immigration office or other?

The Italian embassy is issuing it.

How much does it help you to hear from people of all of the over 200 countries in the world whether their embassies issue the letter? Would it not be more practical if you indicated what country you are specifically interested in?

And the Chinese embassy since most people applying for the 30 day extension are from there.

Contact you own embassy about it.
