Chronic disease in old age
The lies of modern medecine! Old age will never be slowed down or vanquished. If there was any food or supplement that could prevent you from getting old it would be well known by now. There will be no victory over cancer (there are hundreds of different cancers anyway). There will be no victory over ageing. The dozens of degenerative and inflammatory diseases that plague mankind will only be alleviated by a small margin, never cured. Medical science is very good at prolonging but is hopeless at curing. Sentient life is not a blessing, it is a tragedy. Schopenhauer wrote: "If suffering is not the purpose of Life, then Life fails miserably in its endeavour". Schopenhauer was right on the money. -

IRS head says free Direct File tax service is ‘gone’
Now that scientific calculators come with your phone, they are not that useful. Logarithmic calculations are not that useful for accounting anyway. I don't really need the calculator, it just saves a little time.
