A message for British Nationals in #Thailand from British Ambassador Brian Davidson on the ongoing #coronavirus situation, 7 April 2020.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand has suspended incoming international passenger flights until 18 April.

️ If you are looking to go back to the UK we encourage you to do so now. There are seats available on flights to the UK next week. We advise you to book directly with the airlines. Follow our page for daily updates.

️ If you decide to remain in Thailand you should have a viable plan for what could be an extended time, and make sure you have enough funds, somewhere to stay and access to healthcare.

If you have issues around funds, travelling to the airport, health or anything else, please contact us:

So, the 'no fly' statement attributed yesterday to the Thai CAA was in error?

Not it wasn't. Technical landings are still allowed, but passengers may not disembark. But airlines can still embark passengers who wish to depart from Thailand.

Re Peter the eater

What a pathetic, infantile and misogynist little comment. I doubt you have the courage to say that directly. Shameful.

I suggest you look up ‘misogynist' before embarrassing yourself in future.
