Dog Euthanasia

Featured Replies

Does anybody know of a Vet in the Hua Hin area that will Euthanise dogs ?

My old friend has got to the stage where it would be the kindest option.

Sad for you, how old is your friend?

Hi mate,

Sorry to read this..... I hope you find someone to do it.... Last year our pup caught conovirus (from the shop) and then infected our other dog.... We tried everything for 2 weeks.... I could not see them suffering anymore, packed a shovel in the car and went to see treating vet to have them euthanized.... He would not.... My Wife explained they do not do it normally.....

I was angered, but more upset that a vet would rather see dogs suffer... Anyway my Wife suggested we give them one more night..... Sure enough they got through the night and with lot of love got past it.... They have been fit and healthy ever since.....

Anyway, you may want to check that they will do it for you first..... It's something we take for granted in the west....

Our local vet would do it but only if the animal met certain criteria.

Can't move about unaided, can't eat unaided and suffering constant pain !!

In the end our boy got tired waiting to meet all the criteria (no constant pain) and faded away one evening..

Only you can make the call and it's not easy...
