A little experiment anyone can do is log off all websites, launch your activity monitor and then log into Thaivisa. 

 

Doing so I get results indicating a data transfer from Thaivisa of up to 3mB per minute. 

 

The fault appears to be the Thaivisa webpage constantly reloads.
