Regime change. That must be done by the people of China. They must topple CCP. This way they will also show to the world it is not the people, it's the commies. They must make this distinction or be branded as the enemy.

If that doesn't work, clone Reagan, time for a cold war. Worked with CCCP.

You have heard of Tiananmen Square right?  What worked with CCCP?  As i think you will find that Russia, and their overlords, have been subverting your culture since WW2.  Communism by the back door.

I am not sure whether China is responsible or not, but just to be on the safe side all our moo baan will stand on our verandahs at 2000hrs and boo China.

I was hoping for a bit of "shock and awe" at the very least.

I think it would be wrong to discriminate against the ordinary Chinese people, but if China did cause this virus, surely other countries must make sanctions against them in some way. We cannot take chances and allow this to happen again.

Serious damage has been done all over the world.

Covid19 is certainly not the first deadly Virus to emerge from China, and it certainly will not be the last

NO - and this was the last straw - all their other crimes and bad deeds will be looked into

Clinton opened up the world to the evils of China

Trump is going to close down USA from the evils of China

I really hope that Trump will close America from the rest of the world. With over 600,000 cases and likely to be in the millions when all 50 states are ‘liberated’, all countries should be banning all travel to and from America.  I will definitely be keeping my distance lol

Well sure, for those bound and determined to find a catalyst to start World War 3.  Heck, blame Russia too, why not.  It's a great way to cull the herd and make massive profits in the War Industry.  Works until the first nuke goes off.  After that - a complete reset for mankind.  Planet Earth and Nature recovers and prosper with humanity tossed back into Dark Ages feudalism.  Those who precipitated the conflagration, neo-Morlocks, may even eventually venture out of their bunkers to reestablish rule over the surviving barbarians.

So yeah, why not?  "It's all China's fault."  So? What's the West gonna do?

"It's all China's fault."  So? What's the West gonna do?"  I did not say it was Chinas fault, but IMO, it is, and I know what the west should do.

I think they only called it the "Dark Ages" because tax on labour, compound interest and fiat currencies were considered repulsive by the populace.

Blame is an interesting word to use for all of this.

There is little doubt it originated in China, as did SARS, I'm not buying into the 'it was made in a lab in Wuhan' nonsense that fills the conspiracy threads.

However, I lived in China, during the SARS outbreak as it happens, I've seen wet markets, and appalling doesn't even come close to describing them. You just want to have a shower and puke when you get home.

So they shut them all down during SARS, then they opened right back up afterwards, and here we are!

Disinformation, lack of information, denial can all be laid at the feet of Beijing. That being said of course Beijing is very aggressively trying to rewrite the whole narrative of the pandemic. I can read Mandarin, and you should see some of the conspiracy threads floating around the message boards about how this was a virus engineered by the US Army...they fail to recognize the irony of that since the US now has the most deaths, well the reported ones, we'll never know the true number from China

But like after SARS, if there isn't a societal shift away from the practices of slaughtering wild animals, especially Bats, in unsanitary conditions this will all happen again.

Remember back in the SARS days, China didn't have much international travel, which is a far cry from today and why the virus spread so widely, and so fast.

This will play on for a while I fear

Tell that to former Eastern European countries that got free when CCCP collapsed thanks to the cold war.

Maybe, maybe not, the US had done something good there, but that is history!

With China's civilisation and history, (The earliest known written records of the history of China date from as early as 1250 BC, from the Shang dynasty (c. 1600–1046 BC) they too will have many invaluable contributions for the good of this planet, for sure.

One cannot justify the atrocities done later and current, by quoting history! LOL

I think in many western countries there will be hate, disdain, and discrimination against Chinese like one has never seen.

Two Chinese women assaulted in Melbourne yesterday.

Many people of Chinese heritage are citizens in most countries in the world.

Chinese students keep many universities across the globe solvent

Let's start with a little "shock and awe" quickly followed up with some mustard gas, napalm and white phosphorus and for the "pièce de résistance" a mushroom cloud followed by a nuclear winter that would even make Stalin envious.

Shock and awe has worked really well in other parts of the globe >>>not. Think Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria.

Think that a first strike of any description would not result in an indiscriminate  missile barrage??

Put your big boy thinking pants on

nothing to do with xenophobia ,and i certainly do not blame or hate Chinese people ,but its their govt to blame for covering it up and letting the world find out to late .

Yes but unfortunately the people are so suppressed with propaganda they quickly become nationalistic tin soldiers anti everyone on the outside of their borders.. So they will have to take the penalty same as their rulers.

Since it appears very likely the the "Spanish" flu originated in Kansas then to be on the safe side we should also boycott the USA, plus the Congo for Ebola, the Middle East for MERS. Now would be a good time to demand reparations from all countries involved in the bubonic plague, or maybe we can charge the rats. The Mexicans will have a big bill to give the Spanish for the c. 10 million plus  they wiped out with European viruses. Likewise the reparations for the genocide of the First Nation Americans. The Mongolians are going to be in a really tough spot when the bill for Ghengis's adventures comes in.

Alternatively we could grow up of course, though that is probably too much to ask. Nationalism, racism and xenophobia are making hay in the shrunken minds of our self destructive species.

I am not calling for people to be made responsible for the virus.

What I do want is for China to clamp down on these markets selling animals like bats that us humans really should not be eating.

This is not the first pandemic to arise in China because of their eating habits. But given how mobile the world population is these days things are no longer a local issue and soon become widespread.

No, the fault on this one lies with the Chinese government and now their people. US and the people by far are not angels, but a heck of a darn sight way way better than China.

Ummmm. It came from their lab not from a seafood market. Biological economic warfare is what it ends up as.
