BGrim Power Plc is ready to sign a contract for U-Tapao Airport’s electric and water-cooling system after it was given the project by the Royal Thai Navy, president Preeyanat Soontornwata said.

This project was one of the three opened by the Navy to develop the airport and the Eastern Economic Corridor.

The other two projects are related to the water system and waste-water treatment, as well as evaluating the cost of waste. Both these projects have been won by East Water Group.

The project will be operated in collaboration with Chinese and South Korean allies. The project was initially meant to be completed in two to three years, but may be delayed by the Covid-19 outbreak.

“However, we don’t think our investment budget in new projects will be affected by the virus,” Preeyanat said.
