in light of that other thread i thought about posing the following question.

 

do you think that the expats or foreigners age has anything to do with these sort of experiences. ? do these experiences generally happen to older foreigners or is happening on average to all ages.

 

i am early 40's and have not experienced much if any of this kind of treatment at all from thai people. i have lived in many different areas of the country and interacted with a wide variety of thai people over the years. i speak the language quite well so i would be able to catch them in the act kind of thing.

 

i could see how an older foreigner could be viewed differently by some locals. after all the vast majority of the deaths in the west during all this has been from those over 65.

 

i will assume that the poster was on the older side. plus 65. if not then i am wrong and this is all stupid.
