A man was arrested yesterday for allegedly possessing cannabis, which he claimed were used to cure his father, who has diabetes, hypertension and suffered from stroke.

Earlier, Bang Khun Thian police searched a house in Bangkok’s Bang Bon district after a tip-off by neighbours. The police found five cannabis plants on the second floor.

The owner of the house, Sakol Anekthanaset, 23, claimed that the plants were used as a medical remedy for his father, who had been sick for three years.

Sakol said he ordered the seeds on the Internet and grew them for three months. He claimed they were not for sale since he brewed them only for his father.

However, the police charged him for possessing a Type 5 drug without permission. He will be prosecuted.

Poor guy too bad the laws havent caught up to reality. Alcohol the dangerous drug is allowed causing people to murder others if they don't get it. Blowing up atms, forcing people to beg for them and killing his son. Never heard of people on cannabis do stuff like that.

If anything cannabis would be perfect during a lockdown to keep nerves down and people mellow. The only assaults would be on mars bars or pizza's

Not a great idea at the moment if you smoke it. The damage it does to the lungs is not

what you want during a pandemic like this.

Of course if he was producing the magic cannabis oil and taking it orally then he wouldn't

get the nerve calming effects you mention.

So much for the nonsense about medical marijuana. The government will never allow the plebs to grow their own, nor do they give a rip about palliative care.  The 'medical marijuana' hype was promoted to allow a few rich Thai investors to get a piece of the global cannabis trade without actually allowing citizens to benefit.
Add another pleb to the 70% of the Thai inmates locked up for drug related "crimes."

I stayed in a Hotel in Pattaya decided to dry my washing on the roof of the building. To my surprise the hotel had a huge canabis farm above the street. The plants had red Christmas tree borbels hanging from them camaflaged to look like tomato plants, if any snoopers from higher hotels looked down it looked like he was just growing tomatoes. Made a fortune farming his weed taxi drivers where allways calling when people wanted what was known as Thai stick to the locals. He grew them, special, Tomatoes all year round and certainly if your a grower of herb you trust no person

Should have claimed the plants were being grown by his sick father.

Never let neighbours wander around your home.
