Recent rains have helped, but Phuket water situation still ‘critical’

PHUKET:-- Recent scattered heavy showers across the island have helped only a little to replenish the island’s water reserves, as the focus remains on using private water sources to supply water to residents.

 

“Recently, there has been more rain in Phuket, but there is still not much water in the reservoirs,” Phuket Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) Chief Graisorn Mahamad told The Phuket News today (May 7).

 

“The water situation has been gradually improving, but the situation is still considered ‘critical’,” he added.

This article could appear, every year, same timeframe. Just change the date, as the substance is always the same. Heavy rains but not enough water because there are too few reservoirs.
