great - one way to make sure is gets around and everyone is exposed

the best way is to open all the windows and keep the area well ventilated

or better still, avoid using closed in taxi's would be my preference - or any sort of public transport with closed doors like BTS etc

a senior representative of the Royal Thai Air Force presented a prototype of a new plastic shield to protect taxi drivers and passengers from contracting the coronavirus in cabs.

Kitsom Phankosan met with several taxi companies and garages to present the device.

Should be a nice little earner...

So the virus gets on your gloves, then you touch somebody/thing else or your face, and then what?

Thing is you can't really see where you're going so an unscrupulous driver could take you for a ride without you realising it .. Upside I suppose is you won't see what your about to crash into in the event of an accident ..

What's that hand doing, coming in from the driver's half?

For an offer of some 'relief' to break up the journey? Can't see any tissues in the back there.

Nor exactly "clear polycarbonate" is it ?  A built in design so that you can't see that the driver is going the wrong way or the long way.  I am sure the designers will be boasting about how Thailand has the first virus protection system in taxis. Will the rest of the world follow ??????

If they made it soundproof i would love the idea.

Then you no longer had to have the same talk with the driver that you've already had 1000 times before.

"Where U from"

"U like Thai lady"

"Wanna go good massage"

Can't see the "fixed" meter either.

To be honest, if I hailed a cab and he had one of these I would be waiting for another cab.

My thoughts exactly. I will not get in a taxi outfitted with one of these.
