A quick look at this might shine some light. 

If a person enters the kingdom, then sends household or personal effects within a 6 month period, then they are tax exempt.

I've had motorbike accessories from America, UK, China and other Asian countries into Thailand no problem.

They were just labelled motorbike parts.
