Thialand, Taiwan and Vietnam all recond high vitamin D levels among the population, yet levels are quite low in southern Europe. In terms of coronavirus, the relationships are not that simple, and probably also include factors such as management, climate and culture. Many variables are correlated, so it not easy to tease them apart. Perhaps a multivariate analysis will work, but haven't come across any such studies as yet.
