PHUKET: The temporary pump station built beside Wanit lake is complete and ready to provide up to around 2,400 cubic metres of water per day to hard-hit households in Koh Kaew and Rassada in a last-ditch effort to restore water supply as the annual rains return.

Schools in safe areas may open when new semester starts on July 1

Over 73,000 businesses register on ThaiChana

The number of businesses registering on the ThaiChana platform increased from 67,904 on Wednesday (May 20) to 73,295, while total individual users increased to 6.333 million from 5.077 million, Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin, spokesman of the government’s Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration, said on Thursday (May 21).

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Japanese appliance-maker Panasonic Corp <6752.T> on Thursday said that next year it will move its Thai-based production of refrigerators and washing machines to Vietnam, laying off some 800 workers.

Repatriation surge sees more than 1,000 Thais return in two days
