I don't have a problem with this statement.  Law and order must prevail and business owners not left to the mercy of the dregs of society.

Protests are certainly in order, but outright lawlessness isn't tolerable.

I note that many MN businesses have their own heavily-armed vigilante guardians.  I wish we had similar laws in the UK.

Why, do you fancy dressing up and strutting around as a lean, mean, steely eyed killer?

Being heavily armed doesn't make it any bigger you know - it just means that you make more noise when you fall over!

Trump attacking the media. What did you all expect? Now, they are attacking CNN headquarters. This is getting ridiculous!

Don't know yet who this is, but I get the impression it are 'protesters', not Trump supporters.

Thugs are always looking for an excuse to act like thugs.

Very true. It is unfortunate they were given the opportunity derived from the mistaken actions by the same  source.

He gave press breifing at the White House this afternoon. He bashed China, Promoted coal energy and made no mention of Minneapolis, or the rioting whatsoever.

Yeah, anything for a distraction.  He should have an affair with Kim K, grab some of her ratings.

As for the on-air arrest, it's as bewildering as those four cops piled onto that man waiting for him to die, with no heed to the (at least) two cameras recording them.

Maybe he was the only black reporter for them to bust.  Well, Velshi was there but he's kind of olive.  Actually, with that bald head he kind of looks like a big olive, with glasses.

At least the reporter was arrested in a civil fashion. No hard takedown, no illegal choke hold, No knee on throat. He should count himself very lucky as those police look like they are ready to take anyone out at a moments notice.  Big mistake going for the black reporter first though, BIG mistake.

Rubbish, they wanted to get arrested, to manipulate useful idiots.  They repeatedly ignore officer directions to move.

Did you see the video?

Yes?

Then you have a very weired perspective of what was going on!

Also: do you know there IS actual live footage?

He repeatedly asked where they wanted them to move to and this was ignored so they could arrest him and crew absolute racism .

Was it racism when they arrested the hooded up white person? reverse racism? or justified? it must be exhausting constantly bending reality to fit your virtue signaling

In a state of emergency, looters may be shot on-site - legally.  It's the same after a hurricane, etc.

Minnesota law says you can't use deadly force to protect property, but you can defend yourself if they're being threatened with bodily harm.

That's not looting - a term used when mob-riot situations are in play - as differentiated from "burglary."

It is true that if you see someone committing burglary, in Minnestota, in ordinary circumstances, you cannot use deadly force to stop them.  It is permitted to use deadly force to protect property in other states.

Then why is trump getting involved saying he will shoot looters.

Because that is what the national guard is charged with doing, to quell riots.  This is nothing new - and is lawful - though rarely goes beyond the "threat" stage, before the rioting stops.

You of course have evidence to back this up.

The footage clearly shows the reporter telling the officers (who have surrounded the crew) that they will move to wherever the officers direct.

No direction is given, the officers arrest the crew and give no reason for why they are doing so.

The first Amendment it now very clearly under threat.

Now let me get this straight....and you blame Trump for this arrest??? And for attacking the first amendment???? Whew!
