Popular Post webfact
"Jack the Quack from Pattaya" rips off monks and villagers in Korat for 500,000 baht Picture: Sanook Police are looking for a fraudster who claimed to be a cancer doctor at a hospital in Pattaya. He appeared at a Buddhist office in Sikhio district of Nakhon Ratchasima in a white coat and logo saying that he could cure cancer with specially imported drugs from America. A temple abbot and several other monks and local people in the village of Nong Ya Khao believed his stories and parted with half a million baht. He also promised to sponsor a temple event with dancing girls - then disappeared with all their money. An abbot and several victims went to the police on Tuesday to file a report about the activities of Narongsak (surname unknown) who they knew as "Dr Jack". One victim, Napha, 46, said she got talking to Dr Jack and told him about her sick husband. He took a syringe of blood and then produced a scribbled note after a supposed test to say that he had stage 2 cancer. He then took 45,000 baht from her for US medications. Then he promised to sponsor a cloth changing event at a temple but when "Mor Lam" women turned up they said they had not been paid. He borrowed 56,000 baht from Napha so the show could go on. Still she believed she would get her money back. Then Dr Jack said he was going to Wuhan to learn all about Covid-19 and could he get 50,000 baht more. She pawned her gold and complied. He promised that all the money - now 151,000 baht - would be repaid. He was meant to pay her on March 5th but he didn't. He claimed he was caught up in having to quarantine in Khon Kaen. She went to the police and after Dr Jack found out about that he promised to pay her back if she would withdraw her allegations. An abbot said that Dr Jack had turned up at his temple dressed as a doctor complete with logo on his tunic and relatives with him. He agreed to treat the monk's cancer for free with an injection that he was given. He then said he would sponsor the event and borrowed 20,000 baht from him and another person at the temple - money that they have not seen since. In total there are 8 known victims who have lost 500,000 baht. Local phu yai ban (village leaders) are warning people in the area not to fall for the fraudster as police begin their hunt for Dr Jack the Quack. Technically as a foreigner you can't own the land but you can own the water. If you pay me just 1 baht per unit of water to do the deal we can sell it to the PWA right away for 4 baht a unit. That is where our future lays DSD. Second hand water. This time next year, we'll be millionaires.

The authorities are going large on so called " fake news " on the internet to the point where putting up a pic' of bottle of beer can get you in hot water .. But you have wicked people like this taking advantage of the easily led in the most cynical of ways by claiming to be able to provide a cure for cancer .. That really is nasty .. If they catch up with this person he really does deserve a harsh penalty for this .. I'll pass on extracting the michael on this one even though dancing girls at the temple does leave the door open for it ..
