Tokyo Joe's is re-opening this month on soi 26 opposite the Impala Hotel, according to Bangkok Jungle. I met Jeff T from the Soi Dog Blues Band in March at the Carrefour on Rama IV, and he told me they were busy re-doing it.

Tokyo Joe's is indeed open on Suk Soi 26, bang opposite the Tara Hotel. 3 floors, with a sweet pool table upstairs. Live music every night, open mic jazz and blues jams on Sundays. Blues festival coming up in July. Check online for the blues festival website. Glenn Patrik is coming over from Kansas for the festival. he also has a website from which you can download songs.

Be careful at Saxophone bar. Although the music is very good, last time I went there, a giant cockroach fell on my head! :o Then my Thai friend laughed at me for being scared. When I looked up at the ceiling, there were a million of them crawling close to a duct, it was so gross!

But...good music. :D

Very nice...I'll make sure to bring my own glassware after reading that!
