"Hard working" Thai woman bludgeoned to death by controlling and jealous Thai husband

Police in the north east of Thailand are hunting for the murderer of a 35 year old woman who was found bludgeoned to death with a piece of sawn off wood on a country road.

Dead at the scene in Wapeepathum district of Mukdahan near a motorcycle was Buaban, 35.

Her assailant is believed to be her new husband called Lan, aged 56. The couple had been together only a year and had split recently after frequent arguments.

Sanook reporters met up with the victim's distressed mother Bappha, 65, who said that she and her daughter had gone off to work in the fields together in the morning.

Buaban had collected shellfish from a reservoir and told her mother that she would ride back and sell the crustacea. She was gone a long time before someone came and told Bappha that she had been found murdered by the side of the road.

The mother promptly fainted on hearing the devastating news.

She said that her daughter was one of five children two of whom had died. She was the main breadwinner and was a hard working woman who was raising children aged 15,12 and 9 from a previous relationship.

She had struck up a relationship with Lan over the last year but they argued frequently because he was a controlling and jealous man who didn't want her to leave the house.

Lan is a construction worker who works with another relative of the family. The hunt for him is now on.

Killing a hard working wife......stupid man.

RIP ,he had a goodin and too jealous to know it.

regards Worgeordie

Sad story again, they learn in the soapies when they are 4 yrs old they get what they want and controll a woman all the way.

a woman seems te be low life to them more like an object they own.

Can use them can beat them whatever they want

She made a bad decision for her previous family...she selected a loser

the guy has no means to financially help support her family which should be part of his sentence...

There’s no end to the weak pathetic jealous stupid Thai males in this country who are raised to believe the world revolves around them.  He deserves execution anything less would just be another crime.

Yes, death sentence for him. Things like "Her assailant is believed to be her new husband..." are not relevant.

Here lies the root of so many problems in Thailand.

What puzzles me is why many Thai women prefer Thai men to a Farang?

Mukdahan is slightly north and slightly east of Bangkok, that can hardly be regarded as North East Thailand

Perhaps the statistical chances  of a mother of  several children  living in the Isaan locality meeting and forming a relationship with non Thai creates  some limitations? Additionally said women who may well be well aware of the statistical evidence of the  scum bag "farang" who by virtue of those statistical numbers as a distinct  minority  is equally likely to be a  murderous or abusive  #hithead is  not interested ?

You need to look at a map you obviously have no clue where Mukdahan is.

I don't think geography is the main issue here !

Could it be because they are dumb?

I find it interesting that posters speak about the "jealous Thai male" when a killing of female partner is reported. (Yes I understand this crime has occurred in Thailand and allegedly by a Thai male)

However in Australia and in many countries, each week one woman (on average) is killed by their current or former male partner.

Unfortunately it is not a "Thai" matter, but a male matter of power, control and an assumption of right to "own" another human.

Why do farang males prefer a Thai woman??

Possibly the Thai women who want a Thai male partner, can have better communication , someone closer to their age, understand their culture, and fall in love with the person as opposed to an older farang male, who possibly comes with lots of baggage from their life in their home country.

Not all men are controlling, but many see it as their right to dominate others
