TV programme long ago

I want to know the name of something I watched long ago.  Sometime between 1975 and 1980 (I think) I went with the girlfriend to NFT to  watch a  TV  drama that was being shown in one hit. Its a story about a crime and subsequent conviction of a criminal boss. Shown  in 4 parts .

 

I  cant remember what it was called but each  hour long segment told   the same story but-from a different perspective. The criminal, the police,  the lawyer and the prison. It was one of the most hard hitting drams I'd seen at that time. I thought it was directed by Ken Loach but I cant find it on Wikipedia.

 

Does anyone remember it. What was it called and the director.

You could look up the NFT online, see if they have an historical list of screenings in the years you mentioned.    You could send them an email.
