Bravo https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/products-eurostat-news/-/DDN-20190107-1 The UK can get oranges cheaper from Egypt and South Africa. yeah. I would not rely on Egypt, they have problems with their neighbors because of the nile dam. However, if the UK does not support the orange growers in Spain, they will have less money and will not go on vacation to London to see the crown jewels. The bottleneck is not the procurement of products, but the sale. The question of how over 50% of UK exports to the EU can be sold elsewhere is much more interesting. And the price difference for the final consumption of the different oranges is minimal, by the way. 2. That is fine. Before you asked why the UK shouldn't import cheaper oranges, and now you find that UK companies are moving out of the UK because they can produce cheaper elsewhere. Btw the EU does not prohibit national aid for companies to secure jobs. Unfortunately, the competitiveness of UK companies within the EU is not the best. The productivity indices are unfortunately only in the lowest mediocrity. After Brexit alone on the world market, tell me a few products where the UK is leading. Just for the sake of interest. 3. Missing 4. There must be something in the UK water that makes the Brexiteers smarter than all the other Brits since 47 years. 1. And when we have extricated ourselves from the transition period and are setting our own rule, we might even resume importing our favourite Jaffa oranges from our friends in Israel. You forgot those, and that its all about our choice and our control. 2. Under EU rules, State Aid is in principle not allowed, although they tend to allow it for their favoured states and not the UK. (Lufthansa, British Steel). Why do you think the UK future State Aid Plan is now such a sticking point in the negotiations? The new UK will be more competitive than the over regulated and supported EU, which has never been part of the EU plan. 3. That's an odd idea, as we all drink the same water in UK. Brexiteers are smarter than the recalcitrant Remainers because we have had that 47 years of experience and learning. What were the downtrodden EU people doing during that period - just taking the propaganda?

That's the thing about Brexit you know, we are changing all those anomalies and aberrations of EU regulation old rules. The CFP will be history and the UK will be setting its own quotas, not the EU. It is one of the reasons why we left - to put things right. The fishing rights sold by those mainly Scottish families may suddenly disappear under new UK legislation. The Fraserburgh Tait family must be quaking in their boots too, almost as much as when the 'Black Fish' gangs were fined about £1.75m and had £8.1m proceeds of crime seized. I wonder if they are SNP supporters too? 5

We are leaving the EU and our financial sector wants to have access to the EU market and a part in setting the rules for it's engagement. You would be told to get stuffed whatever market you wanted to join anywhere with that approach. We are burning our bridges one by one, I guess we will just be told to forget it. They don't need our financial services, they have their own. Forget the peanuts involved in fishing, this will cost us an unbelievable fortune. Our fin. service industry is the one significant thing that helps redress our awful imbalance between our exports and imports in almost all other areas. Looks like we are competing once more for the national self harm award. Johnson's - hold out till the last - approach to negotiations isn't working, his bluff has been called, the EU countries are preparing for a no deal exit. 3
