BANGKOK, July 2 (TNA) – State welfare card holders, who have not received any state assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic will receive 3,000-baht cash handout from July 4-9. 

 

Deputy Director of the Comptroller General's Department, Ms.Wilawan Payanoi said the Cabinet approved financial assistance for the state welfare card holders, who have not received aid from any Covid-19 relief measures.

I don't think it's Social Security, the so-called welfare card was given to a number of low income earners that registered for it – about 12 million people earning either less than 30,000 baht a year, or less than 100,000 baht a year – and they didn't need to be member of the Social Security-system.
