Costs of Translation+Legalization services at Thai MFA

Hi,

 

I'm wondering what are the costs of Translation + Legalization services at Thai MFA if you go to them directly, and don't use an intermediary translation service who can also handle the legalization. Their prices are really quite exorbitant, perhaps unnecessarily so, if one can actually do this oneself without too much difficulty.

 

Any recent experiences and is there a set rate per page for translation and legalization? The purpose of the translations into English and legalizations is to apply for Schengen visas for my wife and step-child.

The Department of Consular Affairs of the MFA does not do translations. They only verify the translation.

There are some private translation services in the building that do though.

Any idea of costs and how they compare with the one-stop translation shops who handle everything for you?
