Replacement for Tony's Gym

Featured Replies

I have been a life member at Tony's for many years. When I was younger I used to go every afternoon . Walking machine a few weights and then a swim. Over the years it changed to early morning (no swim) and home for breakfast.

Not worried about air con at 6.30 in morning. Just recently I have got out of the habit. Put on 7 kilo. So I thought right back to Tony's.

Alas, no Tony's, so I'm looking for a replacement. Somewhere cheap, dont want a personnel trainer or anything. Just let me do my own thing.

Searching the internet I came up with the Fun Gym and Castro's but neither site Looked at had a map. Can anybody help me here or recommend an another cheap gym.

Thanks

Opposite the fitness park, behind the police box, Pratanak hill, is a small, free, outside gym. Mainly Thai. So, do a few laps (1.4 km/lap with hills), then up the mountain to the Sor Tor Ror  5 radio station, then down to the gym. (Ask the Thai guys first, but they seem like a good mob and some falangs work out there.) Then over to the fitness park pickup truck for a fresh coconut juice.

Might help to know where you are ?

On the Darkside (barely) at the bottom end of Boonsamphan (close to Sukhumvit), across from the Shell station, is a Tony's gym that I think is still running. Smaller than the one at the intersection of Pattaya Tai/#3 road and enclosed (air conditioned I assume). Not sure how many floors the gym occupies.

Know someone living in a condo that has a fitness facility ? Maybe you could go "visit" them in the morning.

A quick Google search of the greater Pattaya area reveals many options.

There's nothing on their webpage about "conditions". (I suspect you are joking or being sarcastic about a refund though.)  ????

If not, why not ask them: http://www.tonydisco.com/contact.html
I notice their lifetime membership offers seem to fluctuate quite a bit. (I think the 2018 price was a offered only for a limited time.)
Lifetime membership - 2017 = 18,999 baht

                                  - 2018 = 11,999 baht

                                  - 2019 = 14,999 baht

Here is an article from "Pattaya Sanook" from last October where they rate the 5 "best" gyms in Pattaya.
https://pattayasanook.com/fitness-centers-and-gyms-pattaya/

They actually list 5 additional places after the "top 5" and then go on to explain why "Tony's" didn't make the list - at all.

Fun gym Naklua.  As someone posted depends where you are. One Fitness very good but out of town.

Fun gym is the best, 3 locations and only 600 thb.

They just need to learn how to clean well and propose soaps in the toilet.
