Thai Rath reported on a number of events at a 5 story apartment in the Banglamung area.

On Saturday a Russian woman arrived at 7 pm with a child and paid for three nights in a third floor room.

At 2 am on Sunday morning Anna, 33, was taken to hospital after she jumped from the third floor.

She said that she had been abused by her husband. But there was no one else on the scene.

At 4.30 pm yesterday police, forensic and rescue teams went back to the room and found the battered body of a girl aged 1 year and 7 months wrapped in a towel under a sink in the bathroom.

The room itself was in a mess with things everywhere and blood stains in evidence.

Drug taking equipment was also found in the room and taken into evidence.

Anna is in the custody of the Banglamung police while she recovers from her injuries in Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.

Drugs are already legal. An intelligent person might actually be able to differentiate.

We have no idea which 'drugs' were found or whether they had any part to play in what occurred.

Which legal drugs, that "an intelligent person might actually be able to differentiate", need specialised equipment in order to take them that would need to be "taken into evidence"?

"We have no idea which 'drugs' were found..."

Exactly, so why your assumption that they were legal?

Surely the hotel has CCTV was the husband ever there?

She had only just arrived, seven hours previously, booked for 3 days and the word 'apartment' was used. Why not read the OP?
