Immigration police manning the Huay Hin Fon checkpoint in Mae Sot, Tak, in north western Thailand stopped three Chinese nationals on overstay yesterday.

The men got stranded after the border with Myanmar was shut during the coronavirus pandemic.

They had been staying in a hotel in Mae Sot since arriving in Thailand in early March.

They were all on overstay.

They were heading to Bangkok to stay in an apartment in Huay Khwang.
