Since Rayong’s tourism sector has come to a near standstill after a visiting Egyptian soldier tested positive for Covid-19, the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) met on Friday (July 17) to come up with measures to help revive the province’s economy.

The plans include:

1. Government agencies holding seminars and meetings in Rayong to help stimulate the hotel industry;

2. Tourism promotion for government agents and private companies;

3. Sports competitions, with control measures in place;

4. Concerts and performances under the new normal;

5. Getting foreign and local film crew to film in the province.

These measures will be discussed further before being announced by Monday.

Even more reasons to give Rayong a very wide berth. :coffee1:
