Problem on my PC software?

Featured Replies

For a few weeks now its taking me a long time to load most pages from the different icons on my screen. Yet when I type the address into for instance firefox there is no problem. Also when i use a VPN (express) there is also no problem.

What is the issue?

And how to fix it?

Thanks!

I suggest you right click on one of your icons, click on properties and then look at the details.

Is what you see in URL the same as what you type?

Delete the Firefox program, clean your computer and reinstall Firefox

Try cleaning up your browser, delete your temp files & cookies, do a complete clean. If in the same position, I would also delete your URL shortcuts and re-establish them. Sometimes they go bad, or the website has changed from http to https, etc.

Many thx all the helpful replies.

After an hour or 2 of cleaning up files and reinstalling Firefox etc... I discovered the problem was caused by the proxy setting; by turning that off it appears to have solved the issue.

I appreciate the assistance!
