Phuket Airport tourist cries fowl over 3,000 baht Subway sarnies
I was curious so here's what a foot long "The Ultimate B.M.T." with 2x meat and 2x cheese (there isn't even an option for 3x) costs in my home town in Colorado USA. $14, but that's before tax which is like 8% so it's more like $15 or 520 baht. Prices for fast food are way up but that's still a reasonable price I guess for that massive sandwich. Phuket airport appears to be about the same price as in the US. Also consider that (according Google) a Subway worker in that town earns $16/hour which means they can nearly buy one sandwich per hour of labor. How much does their Thai counterpart make, 30-50 baht/hour? Likely a full days labor couldn't afford one of those sandwiches. -

Phuket Airport tourist cries fowl over 3,000 baht Subway sarnies
While I don't visit Phuket, I do have Subway at DMK or BKK quite often when flying. And from the price breakdown it's not far off what I pay. Now, I don't add everything they have in the fridge to my sandwich, but with what she's ordered, I think the price is rather reasonable. The bad part is on the staff at Subway branch, which will likely have that deducted out of their salaries, since sandwiches were already made by the time she refused to pay. I hope company's management reads this as well (I bet they would have seen this story) and waives that. I don't know. I would not have made a fuss like that. All prices are listed at the board, I believe add-ons as well (if they are not, maybe it's time to put them up). A year or 2 ago I went to a translator in Pattaya (long story, but they are far more used to dealing with foreigners than they are in Bangkok and could get things done in hours rather than weeks) and stopped at a similar place to Subway at a shopping mall facing the beach. The place was nearly empty. Looking at their prices I could understand why - they were same or higher than at the airport. I guess they were charging for the location? Nonetheless, I was already there, accepted it and paid for it. After all, it's not like the staff working at the counter or putting food together set those prices. You order, you pay. -

Mosquitos Harnessed to Vaccinate Humans Without Consent
New England Journal of Medicine Report of Malaria Vaccine Delivered by Mosquito Bites By Peter A. McCullough, MD, MPH It seems as if the world of vaccinology has ramped up to a feverish pitch with amplified research, massive funding, and no limit to the extent in which vaccines could be injected into humans. Dr. McCullough was a December 31, 2024, guest on the Grant Stinchfield Podcast to review research using mosquitos to deliver vaccines to humans through their nasty bites in the skin. Lamers et al described experiments where mosquitos were laced with a malaria vaccine and then normal human volunteers went through three session of 50 bites each to get “vaccinated.” It took only five bites to give the subjects a case of controlled malaria infection. Stinchfield raised the ethical considerations of this line of development where mosquitos released into nature essentially like flying syringes could vaccinate people without informed consent, no control over dose, prior immunity, and no ability to recognize or report side effects. Exit Thailand at end of NonB extention, then re-enter on a 60-day tourist visa-exempt stamp?
To be honest the quoted thread is useless as the OP never said if he was on a visa or extension. However, for the OP of this thread, your simple process should be; Get a letter of termination from your employer, this can be post-dated Take the letter to Labour and cancel your work permit, (it will be cancelled for the post-dated date). Take confirmation from Labour to immigration and they will cancel your extension, (again on the post-dated date). Leave on or before 31 Jan and you are good to go. 🙂 -

Trump Criticizes Gov. Newsom’s Wildfire Management Amid Devastating California Fires
Really. You are more intelligent and informed than the 95% of scientists who agree anthropomorphic emissions of carbon dioxide are causing climate change? I know who the ill informed idiot is. No point in asking a microcephaloid to use their head. -
