Say someone has a car license & a motorbike license from their home country, plus an international drivers permit.

 

1. I've read that it's possible to get a Thai car and/or motorbike license on a tourist METV visa, is that correct?

2. Apparently if you have an overseas car and/or motorbike license you aren't required to take the theory or practical (driving) exams, is that also correct?

3. What documents are needed in BKK when applying?

4. Where are the offices to apply for in the Silom and/or Bangrak area?

5. How much does each license cost and is it only valid for 1 year the 1st time you get a new license (as opposed to 5 years)?

6. How long does it take to get the license after applying for it?
